HIT Research Centre was established in 2013 by Rector's Decree n. 1135/2013. The centre focuses on carrying out basic and applied scientific research, on offering high education programs (PhD, Post PhD), and on accomplishing knowledge and technological transfer in the interdisciplinary domain of the human interaction with technologies.

Art. 1 Costituzione del Centro

1. Ai sensi ed ai fini previsti dall’art. 89 del D.P.R. 382/1980, in conformità all’art 55 dello Statuto dell’Università degli Studi di Padova e all’articolo 119 del Regolamento Generale di Ateneo, è istituito il Centro Interdipartimentale di Ricerca: “Human Inspired Technologies Research Center ”, promosso dai seguenti Dipartimenti (Dipartimenti Promotori):
- Dipartimento di Psicologia Generale (DPG)
