Aim:
Writing scientific papers is an essential skills for scientists, independently of their specific field of enquiry (e.g., Computer science, Psychology, Physics, etc.). Indeed, a study cannot be considered as concluded, unless the obtained results are communicated to the scientific community, particularly by means of articles. In the present course, we shall aim to introduce students to the structure and writing style, necessary for drafting scientific articles. The course will encompass theoretical lessons and practical exercises covering introductory aspects of scientific writing. Active interaction among the participants will be highly required and appreciated.

1. The importance of scientific communication
2. Different kinds of scientific communication
3. Writing articles (introductory)
3.1. Parts and structure of a scientific article
3.2. Common errors to avoid
3.3. Exercises
Course requirements:
Good knowledge of spoken and written English. Good knowledge of Word and Powerpoint
Examination and grading:
The students will be evaluated on exercises proposed during the course
