An early auditory deprivation may have consequences on the development of cognitive processes that are critical for verbal language learning, such as verbal memory and the ability to process and learn temporal sequences. In my research I explore these cognitive deficits and try to develop adaptive learning tools and technologies that support deaf children in developing these cognitive functions.
