Project description
The research project deals with secure Internet of Things (IoT) and the Identity of Things, in the absence of a general infrastructure for reliable data sharing. Three main aspects will be analyzed: communication channel securitization, device identity assessment, and the authenticity of data. The study will initially focus on the applicability of decentralized PKI models and of the state-of-the-art in the identification. It will then analyze the various technologies and solutions for securing remote end-points. Eventually, it will concentrate on the design and implementation of a trust framework model for cross-domain identity certification of a device.
