Project description
The goal of my research project is to use Action Video Games (AVG) for dyslexia rehabilitation, exploring mechanisms like periodic attentional sampling and neural entrainment to aid reading. Research suggests commercial AVGs may have beneficial effects, potentially through gameplay periodicity and repetition that aligns brain oscillations with actions, enhancing attention and multisensory integration. The project aims to deepen the understanding of how AVGs operate in comparison with standard training. Specifically, it seeks to: (1) identify commercial AVGs for rehabilitation, (2) inform the creation of validated serious games for dyslexia treatment.
