Project description
Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and regions (IDRs) do not adopt a fixed three-dimensional folded structure under certain physiological conditions. Despite lacking a stable structure, they are involved in a multitude of crucial biological functions. These proteins may undergo disorder-to-order transition or perform functions that directly require structural flexibility. The plasticity of the binding regions in IDPs/IDRs allows them to adopt varying conformations to interact with different partners, resulting in their involvement in many diseases. My research focus is on developing and expanding tools for understanding these proteins and their functions.
