The best connected airport is Venezia Marco Polo (VCE); at about the same distance from Padua you can also use Verona - Catullo airport or Treviso - Canova airport:
The easiest solution is to book a seat on a taxi shuttle that will bring you to your hotel directly. This service needs to be booked 24h in advance.
Alternatively, you can reach the nearest train station by bus (see 'by train' below for train schedules).
A convenient long distance bus connection, yet one with a limited schedule (e.g. not running at night), is available between Padova and Venice Airport. The schedule is accessible here. Leaving stop is on the left box (e.g., 'VENEZIA AEROPORTO MARCO POLO TESSERA') and arriving stop is on the right box (e.g., 'PADOVA AUTOSTAZIONE', which is the main hub with taxi stands and train station nearby).
A taxi stand and several car rental booths are present in all airports.
Padova is well connected by train, mainly from Trenitalia, Italo and Deutsche Bahnhof. The HIT centre is a 15-minute walk from Padova railway station. When exiting the train station, just follow the signs to the Padua Fair ('Fiera di Padova'). Alternatively, once can use the bus stops in front of the train station.
Closest bus stop to the HIT centre is via Belzoni.
Use the Milano-Venezia (A4) motorway (toll). The Italian motorway system can be searched here. Leave the motorway at Padova Est and head towards the town centre.
